Colin was raised in the historically rich costal town of Wilmington, North Carolina where growing up he was exposed to the alkaline rich glazes typical of southern pottery. It was while attending East Carolina University where he was introduced to the more linear, and proportional forms found in Korea and Japan. After graduating with his degree as a studio artist he moved back to his hometown; the place where his interest and inspiration was sparked to start a business creating pottery professionally.

Recently Colin relocated to Charleston, SC where he is currently residing and making pottery at Redux Contemporary Art Center.
