We achieve so much because we work in collaboration! Dedicated interns and volunteers are an integral part of Redux’s ability to bring contemporary art programming to the public. Volunteer and internship hours can be used for college credit. If you are interested, please consider the following opportunities.
Redux is consistently looking for volunteers to assist with events and programs at Redux ranging from outreach efforts, special events, and offsite programming. If you are interested in being put on the Redux Volunteer list, please email info@reduxstudios.org.
Redux Contemporary Art Center is will be looking for interns who are looking to gain in-depth work experience with a dynamic non-profit arts organization for Summer 2024.
Internships at Redux provide the unique opportunity to gain a much deeper understanding of the day-to-day happenings of a non-profit arts organization. As an intern at Redux, you will have the opportunity assist with many facets of the organization including exhibition installation, class preparation, event facilitation, and much more. Redux internships are scheduled on the academic calendar (Fall, Spring, Summer semesters).
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with space maintenance and installation prep
- Greeting and engaging with gallery visitors
- Updating and managing databases
- Assisting with record keeping
- Formatting and tracking press items
- Providing assistance at exhibition openings and events
- Website and social media updating
- Assisting Redux’s Executive Director, Operations Director, and Education and Outreach Coordinator with additional administrative duties
Requirements:
- Studio Art, Art History, Arts Administration or Arts Management majors preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude
- Passion for contemporary art and the emerging art world

Redux Contemporary Art Center is seeking a motivated, dependable, and self-reliant sophomore, junior, senior, graduate, or post-graduate assistant to help Redux’s Education & Outreach department with Summer 2024 education programming.
Duties will include:
Managing classroom maintenance including set-up, clean-up, and inventory
Greeting, checking in/out, and working with students, parents, and teaching artists for camps
Assisting teaching artists as needed before and during classes
Assisting with social media promotion of camps through the summer
Qualified applicants will be:
Organized
Prompt and reliable
Familiar with studio art materials
Social Media savvy
Able to work independently and cooperatively
Able to communicate effectively with teachers, parents, students, artists, and staff
Able to interact with others and work with a positive attitude
Education/Experience Qualifications:
– BA in Studio Art/ Arts Management/ Education preferred
– If currently a student, must be pursuing a degree in Studio Art/ Arts Management/ Education
– Previous experience working with kids is not required but HIGHLY preferred
– CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but Redux will pay for certification before the start of camps if not
Compensation:
– $2250 stipend + 1 free workshop with Redux during the summer or fall of 2024
Hours:
- 170 hours over 9-10 weeks.
- Applicants should be available to start May 31st, 2024 (flexible) and to stay on with Redux through July 31st, 2024 (flexible).
- May 29 – June 21: flexible schedule with an average of approx. 8-10 hrs per week. Mon – Fri between hours of 8:30 am – 3 pm (hours to be scheduled cooperatively)
- June 24th – July 26th: required schedule Mon – Fri 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (6.5 hrs per day, w/ breaks, July 4th and 5th off)
