FILM IS NOT DEAD! There is a good reason for this, at least from an artistic standpoint. Using a medium which cannot be looked at until some time after being used forces the user to visualize what they will be creating beforehand. An additional benefit is that the user begins to see things in a new way! This course is available to teach you how your camera can be best used to make good, properly exposed pictures. Be prepared to take notes and learn hands-on how to use your camera, and take a photo walk to shoot film. By having to think about light and how it will effect the image, the creative process can begin!

*February 24th’s class will include a photoshoot at SK8 Charleston.
Each student should bring a camera. A camera can also be made available for your use if you do not have one. If providing your own camera, an SLR or Rangefinder capable of fully manual operation is essential. Cameras like the Pentax K1000 or Minolta SRT101 are recommended.
