Reorientation V

This annual juried exhibition highlights the work of Redux’s private studio, printmaking shop, and darkroom artists. During the opening reception, Redux will hold an Open Studio session so that visitors can tour studio spaces and see some artists at work. Reorientation Five’s visiting juror is Jon Swindler, an Assistant Professor in the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgiain Athens where he teaches courses in book arts and printmaking. Swindler holds a BFA from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas and an MFA at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Swindler has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group invitational exhibitions throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He has also has presented visiting artist workshops and lectures at various institutions, including the Art Academy of Cincinnati and Syracuse University. Redux is home to Charleston’s most creative visual artists. Housed within two buildings are over 30 artists working in 22 different studios and the only public print shop and darkroom in Charleston.
