Integral to Redux’s mission is to educate our community about current practices in art through both an academic and hands on approach. Redux offers year-round art classes and workshops to the public for both kids and adults. We have a class for everyone, whether you are a beginner or more advanced artist looking to broaden and enhance your talents.

Our classes are affordable, fun, challenging and taught by talented local qualified instructors. Courses include painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, art history, and much more. All courses are timed to fit the schedules of working people and are taught by working professional artists. Through our classes, workshops, and studio space we provide the guidance and resources you need to bring your creativity and passion to life.

Intro to Monotypes! w/ Katherine DuTremble
“Mono” meaning one, and “type” indicating a printmaking process, Monotype has been used throughout artistic history for a little more than 300 years. Although not a “true” printing process in that the end product is only one original piece, it has had a recent resurgence in the artistic community due to its appeal as a fresh painterly process. Spend 3 weeks learning how to create Monotypes with an introduction, history, filing of plates, and hands-on making of monotypes. Students will learn the difference between Monotypes and Monoprints, and be encouraged to learn, play, and have fun!

Redux’s outreach programs introduce underserved children, youth, and adults to the arts. By partnering with other organizations that serve the local community, we can dramatically increase our impact.

By supporting Redux’s outreach programs, we are able to provide the invaluable opportunity for participants to develop self-confidence, leadership skills, and positive relationships with peers and self through visual and creative arts. By developing skills, creating, and talking with their peers and our teaching artists, participants develop self-assurance and integrate language into their art.
