WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Learn the basics of relief printmaking – preparing a design, carve a block for printing, and pulling your prints. Using linoleum blocks, we will discuss the use of value and mark to create single color prints. We will explore how to curate an edition of finished prints, and have a little fun printing onto greeting cards. Intended for beginners, advanced students are welcome to discuss more ambitious projects for personalized guidance.

Ka Adrian Rhodes received her BFA in 2005 and MFA in 2011, both from Winthrop University. She is the recipient of the South Carolina Arts Commission’s 2020 Individual Artist’s Fellowship and the Winner of the 2020 701 CCA Prize from the 701 Center for Contemporary Art in Columbia, SC. Adrian’s multidisciplinary art practice is rooted in printmaking, and she has been teaching printmaking courses and workshops since 2011, including at the University of South Carolina and other regional institutions.

Registration will open on March 13th, 2024 at noon. Once your register for a workshop, you will receive an individual email from Redux confirming your registration the day of or the next business day. Registration closes June 14th, 2024 for Summer Sessions.  If a class is full when you register, you will be notified by email that your name has been added to the Waitlist should a spot become available.
