Born and raised in South Carolina, Anna Chen is a watercolor collage artist who currently lives in Charleston, SC with her pup Mini and many plants. Her work aims to explore how meaningful places and objects can evoke universal emotions within us. She hopes to capture the essence of our surroundings through paper cutting and watercolor merged in collage. She has shown work at the GAP Gallery, Redux Contemporary Art Center, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the Park Circle Gallery. She has also created live at Creative Mornings Charleston, spoken at the North Charleston Art Guild, and participated at markets including the Charleston City Night Market, Pickers Hullabaloo, Feminist Magic Market, and many more. She currently teaches a monthly watercolor collage class at Redux and continues to do pop-ups around town.
