The Place To Be!
Emily Furr & Patrick Healy
Opening Reception: Friday April 4th 5 – 8 PM
Redux Art Center is excited to announce the opening of The Place to Be! The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, April 4th from 5-8PM at 1056 King Street. The exhibition will be on view through May 17 2025.
This exhibition brings together the work of Emily Furr (Charleston, SC) and Patrick Healy (Greensboro, NC) exploring the emotional and perceptual nuances of place, experience, play and familiarity.
Furr’s sculptural oil paintings on shaped substrates transform personal relationships and evocative imagery into vivid, layered compositions. Healy investigates the intersection of the familiar and the phenomenal, utilizing powder coated steel sculpture and archetypal motifs to challenge perceptions of everyday objects and situations. Their work encourages viewers to reconsider how meaning is constructed in the objects and spaces that surround us.
