Zach Higgins – Light + Sound

Zach Higgins is a self taught artist based out of Charleston SC. He has spent the past 12 years working with vastly different materials to pursue blending the line between 2d and 3d artwork. Using traditional and innovative sculptural elements shown in a flat format he aims to create a portrayal of imagery that invokes unique thoughts and feelings.

At this time, specifically to the lightning residency at Redux, he is creating a body of work that will combine the use of real glass neon lighting, cast or kiln formed glass, metal wire sculpture, and wooden framing. These processes are designed to connect some of his favorite mediums with depictions of skulls and flowers complementing the end of winter and beginning of spring.
