Karen Young Foundation Endowment Gift
REDUX Contemporary Art Center is honored to announce a new partnership with the Karen Young Endowment Fund, whose generous $15,000 contribution will help expand access to quality arts education for young people in Charleston. Through the Karen Michelle Young Scholarship, REDUX will provide 15 full summer camp scholarships, three yearlong After-School Art Club scholarships, and additional opportunities for individualized instruction and artistic mentorship.
Created in loving memory of Karen Michelle Young, the scholarship celebrates her creativity and artistic spirit while helping young people discover and develop their own.
Karen had a passion for art, fashion, and travel, and a unique way of expressing herself creatively. We’re honored to share some of her artwork here as a tribute to her life and the lasting impact of her family’s generosity.
A heartfelt thank you to Karen’s parents, Tom and Tish Young, and the Karen Young Endowment Fund for helping us make quality arts education more accessible to young people in Charleston.
