Botanical Visions

In Botanical Visions, I invite viewers to experience the natural world through dreamlike abstraction and layered perception. My images of flowers and vegetation are printed on delicate silk organza that is mounted over paper prints in shadowbox frames to create ethereal, three-dimensional photographs.

Blurring the boundaries between what is seen and what is sensed, I use innovative materials and viewpoints to expand photography beyond the single moment, reaching instead toward states of wonder and poetic amiguity
