This 4-week class is based on the spirit of abstract expressionism. And with the unique opportunity of working with artist Tim Hussey. Using techniques, demonstrations, assignments and critiques, students will be challenged to find their voice and what it is he or she wants from creating art. Tim will provide weekly lectures/demonstrations that will be followed by in-class painting and personal critiques. Students will also be given an assignment to complete for the following week, followed by a group critique at beginning of each class. This course is meant to free the mind, but by completing a series of tasks using limited materials, with the intention of listening to mediums closely and deciding how or if they can be useful in building your personal vision.
