Students will be introduced to what printmaking, a brief history of printmaking, materials, and tools. A demonstration will of how to utilize print materials: carving, inking, tearing paper and printing with and without a press. Students will be given opportunity to practice the use of materials. During the time between classes Students will create three 4”x6” images to select from for their print.
Students will have their three images ready for selection. Once image is selected students will be taught how to transfer image to speedy carve block.
