Over the years of making gig posters for bands such as Susto, Shovels and Rope, Deer Tick and others, I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of collaborating with those artists to bring their ideas to life. While many posters have come from a product of brain storming ideas, just as many have come from actual artwork provided by the artists themselves. The most common analogy I’ll use for life as a screen printer is that we are like tattoo artists in that the client may already have the design in another format but when putting the design on paper by hand, the screen printer will leave their unique stamp on the image when filtering the original design into a new medium. This class is an invitation for us to put both of our stamps on a piece of work together.

All materials provided. Students can purchase shirts through my wholesaler on the first night of class.
