This 6-week class will be an in-depth study of the human figure through the
process of drawing. From the skeletal and muscular structures of the body to its outer features, we will explore gesture, structure, proportions, and the anatomy of the human figure and portrait. This course will also focus on the expressive qualities of drawing by experimenting with different approaches and mediums including pencil, charcoal, and pen. This course builds on foundational drawing courses and emphasizes the importance of drawing from observation. This class will incorporate drawing from a live unclothed model.
