Join local artist Daisy McClellan for a special Indigo Dye Workshop. We will be making beautiful indigo striped hammocks perfect for lounging in on a hot day. In this class you’ll learn the fundamentals of using indigo dye from beginning to end. We’ll discuss the history of indigo in South Carolina and then dive into how to create a dye vat and various shibori tie dye methods that reveal beautiful patterns. You’ll go home with your very own full sized hammock as well as 2 tea towels that we will also dye during the class. Beginners are welcome in this 2 hour workshop- no experience is required.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy or bring an apron if you have one. We will spend some time outside weather permitting as well.
