This 3-week drawing class is intended for people who have drawing experience and generally are pleased with their current ability but feel their ability to draw people well is lagging.

Learn techniques to be more comfortable in drawing people and happier with the results. It starts with understanding the reason why you don’t feel as comfortable drawing people as you do other subjects is because people are fundamentally different than anything else. An introduction to the basics of the human face and form, this covers techniques of proportion, relationship and scale for a fundamental understanding of the figure, head and face working from life. All models for this class will be clothed.

Charcoal can be messy; please dress accordingly.

Materials will be provided for in-class use, however students may wish to have their own supply as well:

• newsprint
• vine soft charcoal
• chamois patch
• masking tape
