This week – Join Redux studio artist, Daisy McClellan as campers explore the world of fiber art. We’ll learn things like felting, braiding, hand weaving, print making on fabric and more! Kiddos will come home with new handicraft skills to keep them busy all summer long.

This week campers explore the basics of printmaking while pushing the envelope! They will use found materials like; bubble wrap, trash bags, cardboard, and different plants to explore a variety of printmaking techniques.

In this elementary level printmaking class, students will use textured materials such as cardboard, soda tabs, styrofoam, yarn, and bubble wrap to create different images that they will then roll with water based inks and transfer their designs to project paper to create collagraph prints. Other examples of elementary art printmaking would include mono print dip dye prints with liquid inks and a plastic tub of water, or a simple wet washable marker transfer with crayon wax allowing for negative spaces in their artwork.
