The Fungus Among Us: Our Mycelium Connection Artist Talks
Monday March 18th and Tuesday March 19th: 6 PM
Join artist Naoko Wowsugi and local collaborators including fiber artist Mikki Blackmon, Deborah Donavan Rice, and more for a discussion about the community collaboration of THE FUNGUS AMONG US, a planetarium & community mapping project. The discussion will range from artist’s talks to the connection between humans and how that is similar to the interconnectivity of a mushroom’s root system. Learn about the different collaborative techniques used to create this growing artwork. All are welcome! This event (like all EP events) is free and open to the public.

Intro to Acrylic Painting w/ Stephen Herchak

Do you have a digital camera but don’t know how to use it? Introduction to Digital Photography is a 4-week class that will teach you the basics and how to shoot in manual mode, so you can enjoy your camera with full manual, creative control and make your photographic visions reality. It doesn’t matter how old your camera is, as long as it turns on you’re in business! This is a beginners’ class so little to no experience is necessary, OR if you have taken a class before but feel you need to brush up on the basics, this is the class for you! *You will need to provide your own DSLR camera for this class.
Sunday Figure Drawing
Sunday, March 24: 5-7 PM
In this professional and academic environment, artists work from a nude model in a variety of artistic mediums, in poses ranging from 30 sec to 30 min – perfect for anyone wanting to work independently with a model at your own pace. An instructor will be present to facilitate the session and help as needed. All skill levels welcome to join in. Easels, chairs and drawing boards are provided. Artists must bring their own drawing and/or painting materials.
