FR3SH Portrait Battle
JAN 15, 2011Redux Contemporary Art Center was pleased to host the Fr3sh Portrait Battle on Saturday, January 15th, 2011. The Fr3sh Cr3w, Shannon Di, Bennett Goodman and Joanna Jackson, teamed up to organize this exciting event. Charleston’s top artists came together under one roof for the sake of portraiture. This event featured 24 competing artists who went head to head in a competition to see whose portraits were the best. Artists were randomly paired and had two hours to produce a portrait of the other. Four rounds separated by 30-minute breaks for judging narrowed down the field to an overall portrait victor. Our contestants competed for a $500.00 Grand Prize, Champion’s Belt, and the title of Fr3sh Portrait Battle Champion.
