This six-week class is designed to build on the basic elements of oil painting for students with a beginner level of experience who are wanting to learn a bit more. Demonstrations on different painting techniques, paint handling, color theory, preparing painting surfaces and supports, and caring for tools and equipment, combined with guided exercises, help each student to gain more confidence with the medium. Classes will become more complex as students build on assignments and exercises from week to week with lots of guidance from the instructor.
