CofC Visual Arts Club Fundraiser Cheap Art Auction and T-Shirt Sale
Feb 27, 2010The College of Charleston’s Visual Arts Club presented Cheap Art Auction and T-Shirt Sale, selling donated student artwork and handmade screen-printed t-shirts. Admission was free and open to the public, and took place at Redux on Saturday, February 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Work that was for sale was made and donated by student artists at the College of Charleston, and benefited Visual Arts Club programming. The Visual Arts Club is a sanctioned student organization which promotes student artwork both on and off campus, by organizing student exhibits and sponsoring artist lectures. Other items for sale included custom screen-printed t-shirts and craft items. All items at the auction were on sale for prices that couldn’t be beat!
Music was provided by local musician Corey Webb—a recent graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Music Theory Composition. Webb is a recording artist who merges the complexity of classical textures with the sounds of folk music—a style he refers to as “contemporary acoustic folk.” He recently won the Music with a Message contest offered by the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League for a song entitled Coconut.
