Anna Sims King

Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Anna earned a BFA in Art and Fabric Design from the University of Georgia in 2006.

Today, gestural strokes, exploration of line, and suggested color elements build and enhance her work while unexpected color, dimension, movement and depth drive each piece in layers of light.

With an extended family history of South Carolina artists, Anna has always been compelled to create. Whether on canvas, film, paper, in the kitchen, or through fashion, she maintains a consciousness of environments while creating art to compliment its ultimate surroundings.

Currently, Anna lives in Charleston with her husband Adam and her rescue “gas station” dog Pilot. Her studio is located in Redux Contemporary Art Center.
