Redux is a 501-c(3) non-profit arts organization dedicated to education, and the production and presentation of contemporary visual art. Housed within a 6,000 square foot warehouse are two galleries, fifteen private artist studios, printshop, darkroom, woodshop, classroom, and film-screening area. Redux is committed to showing artwork by national and international artists, supporting local artists, and enriching the Charleston community by offering adult and youth education programs. As the only arts organization in Charleston providing these much needed opportunities, Redux maintains an ambitious schedule of exhibition, outreach, and studio programs to accomplish our goals.

/ ARTIST STUDIO RENTAL INFORMATION /

Redux is home to Charleston’s most creative artists. Each artist at Redux concentrates on developing a personal artistic vision. Redux’s exhibition program and events program makes for a resourceful location that has a supportive atmosphere where studio renters are constantly exposed to visiting artists, artist lectures and most importantly the ideas of their neighbors. This results in a creative momentum for everyone.

The Redux Studio Program offers emerging and under-represented artists full access to professional artist studios. Individuals work in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. The 6,000 sq. ft. space is equipped with 15 individual artist studios. The small studios (120 sq ft) are $250 and the large studios (240 sq ft) are $420 a month. The facility also houses Charleston's only public darkroom and print shop.

We are always looking to grow and expand our community, because we know that all great artists learn from other great artists. To learn more about how you can join our community of artists, please call us or email info@reduxstudios.org.

Printmaking and Darkroom Access

In addition to the private artists studios, Redux also offers 24 hour access to professional Darkroom and Print Studio facilities. Each artist receives individual storage space and use of all Redux equipment in their respected areas for only $65.00 per month.

The printmaking studio at Redux offers space for Screen Printing, Intaglio, Drypoint, Monotypes and Letterpress. The darkroom provides 4 enlargers and ample space to use a variety of traditional black and white photography techniques.
